Depth without movement. At the center of the cycle, The Quiet Core rests rather than unfolds. Harmony feels inhabited, time pooled rather than extended. Nothing arrives and nothing departs; the music behaves as if it has always been here. Memory presses softly—not as narrative, but as presence—creating a sense of depth without darkness. This is the still interior of the reveries, where attention neither advances nor retreats.

About the artist: Seneka Abeyratne, a retired Sri Lankan economist, has numerous creative interests, including writing (fiction/drama), photography, digital art, dancing (ballet/contemporary), choreography (classical-contemporary), and seeking beauty in dissonance via solo piano improvisations (noir classical/noir free jazz). He is a widely published author and winner of three prestigious local literary awards, including the Gratiaen Prize. His evocative, digitally altered images have been exhibited in Sri Lanka and France. Whether through word, image, or sound, his art remains an exploration of introspection — an unhurried dialogue between shadow and soul.
