I think this is one of the most authentically "80s" sounding projects I've made. There's also a leap in the quality of synths and samplers utilized for this one compared to Zelda 1. The production on Great Palace is pretty sick, ain't it? Some of the songs in this game are quite stylistically distinct from what Zelda music would be better known for. I bet that's because Mr. Kondo didn't work on them.
