I wanted my trailer to have a removable gate like some of the larger, higher-end trailers offer. I wasn't satisfied with having the gate folded back into the trailer and wanted it to be fully removable for hauling kayaks and other long stock.
I'm not a professional welder but I got it done and I'm confident it will hold up as I don't typically use the gate as a ramp for anything heavy.
