Amidst the various challenges, we have succeeded in our mission to forge a path toward a comprehensive healthcare system. We have extended our reach to every healthcare facility across Jordan, ensuring that every Jordanian has easier access to the care they need.

Electronic Health Solutions, a royal initiative brought to life by the remarkable talents and expertise of the Jordanian people, which dedicated to transforming Jordan’s healthcare system from paper to digital.

Years ago, under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, a revolutionary journey began—a journey to digitally transform the Jordanian healthcare system and elevate the standard of care and services provided to every citizen.
We embarked on this transformative journey in 2009 with the launch of "Hakeem," the National Digital Health Transformation Program, beginning with a single hospital and clinic. This initial success laid the foundation for broader implementation, extending the program to healthcare facilities across the kingdom. Today, we take pride in knowing that "Hakeem" is fully operational in 285 healthcare facilities.

In addition, EHS embraced the vision of a connected and modernized healthcare system, by introducing a variety of innovative e-services under the Hakeem program. These tools are designed to empower physicians through “Dr@Hakeem mobile app”, as well as patients through “MyHakeem platform and mobile app” with features such as medication delivery and appointment booking services to ease the path toward accessible, efficient, and patient-centered care (more than 200,000 app user).
The dream kept growing to elevate the healthcare system from the scientific aspect as well. We introduced the Electronic Library of Medicine (ELM), a beacon of knowledge, enriching the field with invaluable medical insights. Alongside, we established Hakeem Academy, a cornerstone for empowering and upskilling the health informatics of Jordan’s medical human resources, paving the way for a brighter future in healthcare.

EHS steadfastly advanced its mission to support and guide decision-makers within the Jordanian healthcare sector. Through the Health Data Analytics Program (HDA), we empower them to make informed and strategic decisions by transforming data from Hakeem database into actionable insights. Today, we are dedicated to creating Jordan’s first comprehensive Health Registry: a digital platform designed to encompass all diseases and elevate healthcare services across the nation.

Furthermore, we are pleased to highlight the successful completion of several recent initiatives:
• The unification of medical diagnoses in alignment with the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10-MC).
• The standardization of medical terminology in accordance with the SNOMED CT classification.
• The digitization of the Cochlear Transplantation process to streamline and enhance its efficiency.
• The launch of the E-health clearance certificate request service.
• The upgrade of Hakeem program/system to the latest version of VistA (v.32).

Currently, EHS is diligently advancing the activation of data exchange between the esteemed facilities of the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services through the innovative “Hakeem Exchange”. Furthermore, we are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to elevate the quality of healthcare services we provide. By the close of this year, our efforts will culminate in the full implementation of “Hakeem” across all hospitals under the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services. Looking ahead, by 2026, the comprehensive rollout of the “Hakeem System” will be achieved in all public healthcare facilities throughout Jordan, marking a new era in the nation’s healthcare landscape.
