Fault
Damaged speaker terminals
The video shows the rear of the Amplifier and the broken speaker terminals due to rough transit.
Rear back panel removed and the damaged terminals de-soldered from the small circuit board, new terminals fitted.
The speaker protection relay on the board was also removed and the switching contacts cleaned with De-Oxit and a diamond spatula to remove all oxide to ensure no loss of Audio or distortion at low volume.
The main Amplifier board was removed from the chassis and all suspect and dry solder joints reflowed, typically on the input RCA connectors and the driver transistors for each channel.
Board refitted and the power supply / protection board bolted to the heat sink removed.
Dry solder joints reflowed.
Amplifier re-assembled and the DC offset and bias for each channel checked no adjustment required.
All user controls and switches cleaned with De-Oxit ensuring noise free operation.
Amplifier fully tested working perfectly.
