Permits Issued for Hiking Grand Canyon

Описание: August 27, 2014 – NAZ Today reports on the National Park Service issuing permits to hike the Grand Canyon. Organized, non-commercial rim-to-rim and extended day hiking in the inner canyon of the Grand Canyon now requires a special use permit. The issue of permits is due to the increase in popularity over the last several years.

The National Park Services estimates that up to 800 people travel to the inner canyon during peak weekend times. Under a permit groups are limited to 30 people per group.
