Описание: Ms Zakia Soman is a human right activist majorly fighting for Muslim Women Rights. She is the lady behind abolition of Triple Talaaq and entry of muslim women in Haji Ali Dargah. She discusses the roots to the problems that women face and how patriarchal masquerading has been one of the major setbacks to gender equality. Zakia Soman is the co-founder of Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan – the organization that mobilized the Triple Talaq and Haji Ali movements. She also leads the Peace and Human Security Theme at ActionAid and is a member of South Asian Alliance for Poverty Eradication. She has won the National Commission for Women’s Outstanding Women Achiever's Award and has featured in BBC's '100 Fearless Women' amongst several recognitions.
