A recent acquisition by Birmingham based Guru Travel is this rather beastly former development/tested Enviro 200. It was built in 2006, but lay unregistered until November 2021, and has emerged in use as of May 2022. Internally it has a very bare interior, with a mix of Metroline and standard dealer blue/orange seats. Mechanically it has the same Cummins ISBe 4 cylinder engine found in E200MMCs, with a very well setup Allison gearbox. As to which version I’ve no idea though !
It’s filmed here making its debut on Rail Replacement in the West Midlands - I would’ve liked a better angle, and from the back, though hopefully more opportunities will arise for an improved video of this strange but enjoyable bus !
This bus was serving Rail Replacement for West Midlands Railway: Birmingham New Street to Lichfield Trent Valley
Calling at: Aston, Gravelly Hill, Erdington, Chester Road, Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, Butlers Lane, Blake Street, Shenstone, Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley.
