From travel chaos to breathtaking views this is my 6-day Istanbul journey in just a few minutes!
Day 1 started with two flights, a nightmare hotel situation, and even being homeless on arrival.
Day 2 threw me straight into the madness of the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s busiest markets.
Day 3 was all about history: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the mysterious Basilica Cistern with Medusa's head
Day 4 took me to the colourful Spice Bazaar and the famous Galata Tower.
Day 5 exploring Topkapı Palace and using the Istanbulkart to hop on a ferry and cross from Europe to Asia in minutes.
Day 6 was a heartfelt farewell at the Mausoleum and Mosque of Sultan Suleyman before heading home.
The Istanbulkart made EVERYTHING possible from ferries to trams and buses, it is the single most important thing you need to get around Istanbul like a local.
