The MC-21-310 commercial jet prototype aircraft (tail number 73055) equipped with Russian-made systems and equipment has now completed 19 flights in its certification test program.
In total, the flight hours accumulated reached 74 hours, Rostec wrote in its release on August 19.
The certification program for the import substitution version is being implemented at Zhukovsky Airfield in the Moscow region.
Aircraft 73055, which was modified to the -310 configuration at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant during 2023-2024, made its first post-modification flight on April 29, 2025.
Aircraft 73055 is powered by PD-14 engines and equipped with Russian-made avionics systems, including flight computers, data concentrators, navigation systems, and radio equipment.
In July 2025, prototype aircraft 73055 and 73054 conducted formation flights to evaluate the Russian-made Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS).
