The Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture is an annual lecture that honours the contributions of individuals to the political and public life of Canada. The Bell Lecture is hosted by the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs.
The 2018 Bell Lecture was delivered by Jean Charest. Mr. Charest served as the Premier of Quebec, as the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, the leader of the federal Progressive Conservative Party, and the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party.
In a speech entitled “Change, Trends and Canada,” Mr. Charest shares his unique perspective on current international trends including international trade agreements, technological change, international politics and other related topics essential for the understanding of national and international relations.
Additionally, Mr. Charest discusses the future of NAFTA and its impact on the Canadian business landscape. He also addresses the topic of Canada’s commitment to strengthening its place in the world and addressing global challenges.
