Most reptiles get shipped at some-point, it is very safe, and a great way to buy from a good quality bearded dragon breeder. Here is some info in how to safely unbox and prepare your enclosure. Some helpful things to remember is to make sure you will be home for time of delivery. Check over the breeders policy agreement to see what it says about warranties. As soon as the dragon arrive bring them in and unbox them. You will want to have the enclosure already set up and turned on so it get's up to proper heat. Feed your dragon right away some bugs and green and let them settle in. After a day give them a bath and handle them very little if possible. Another thing to keep in mind that people don't often think about is quarantining the new dragon. While it is extremely rare, a new dragon could be caring a deceases, if you handle the new dragon then your other dragons or lizards you could get the rest of your pets sick. It has never happed to us but we have read very sad stories of it happening to others. Be safe rather than sorry!
