Making a Voice Over Demo Reel

Описание: I recently created an animation voice over demo reel and wanted to share the experience with you guys! A VO demo reel is one of the tools that an actor or voice over artist uses to secure an agent and book jobs.

Check out a glimpse of my process and what the final product sounds like!

Typically, when you record a reel or even hire a company to record and mix it for you, you have a LOT of work to do! Practice voice acting before hand, maybe even train with a couple of different coaches. When you start to feel comfortable in front of the mic, notice which voices come to you naturally. With a handful of different voices, or “characters” under your belt, it is now time to create the SCRIPT.

Coming up with the scenarios can be difficult. The company I went with preferred combining characters and having them talk TO each other! If you’d like to do the same, pick a location and think of a topic they can be discussing that they both have very different opinions about. If you hire a company, they should be able to bounce ideas with you for this!
