for Tzu Chi to set foot in Buddha land
Inviting our Venerable Master to Maya Devi Temple
We placed a flat screen television
under the Bodhi tree
and look forward to our Venerable Master
to enlighten us,
and to bring Year-End’s Blessings
to all Tzu Chi commissioners
and Jing-Si disciples
right here in Lumbini.

The Great Awakening of the Universe, Jing Si Infinite Lights,added solemnness to the Year-End Blessings Ceremony’s venue.

You can feel as if our Venerable Master
is leading us in front
to walk in the door
step by step
slowly and solidly
into the land of Lumbini
I could smell the scent of flowers,
I am very touched,
I think it’s Venerable Master’s vow,
to receive blessings from
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas,
to be able to fulfill this wish
to rejuvenate Lumbini.

At this majestic Dharma event, volunteers held innumerable candles and prayed with a devout heart.This grand and solemn venue attracted tourists to stop over to witness the ceremony and feel the spirit of the Dharma.

not as a tourist, but instead

the community in
Buddha’s birthplace.

I have been here for two months
to do charity work,
I feel that
I am a very blessed person.
I will be leaving Lumbini
on the fourth of December but hope
I will be back next year to help
and carry out Master’s aspirations.
