In preparation for the Cesaroni L995R motor to be used in the Jupiter 3 rocket I modified the nose cone to hold extra weight or electronics . I cut the nose cone shoulder base off added a plywood bulkplate with 2 stainless steel U-bolts , 3" airframe for the payload section and a payload cover secured by T-nuts .
Goal was to keep the Jupiter 3 under METRA's ( NY Rocket Club ) waiver of 4500' . By adding the extra weight from the modification and clay weight the rocket Rocksim shows 4100' .
