Flood victims from 1973, 1988 and 2025 raised strong احتجاج in Moza Chontra Sargana Pirmahal near kamalia after local authorities moved to demolish their temporary homes built on government land near canals and embankments.
Riaz Fatyana (Member National Assembly & Chairman Parliamentarians for Human Rights) visited the protest site, met the affected families including women, children and elderly people, and addressed the gathering.
He stated that under Article 38 of the Constitution of Pakistan, every citizen has the right to education, health, food and shelter. He proposed proper allotment of 5-marla plots on available government land from Head Sadhnai to Bhassi Chowk to permanently rehabilitate flood victims.
