"1. Hundreds of Air India passengers were left stranded at several airports across the globe after the airline's check-in software suffered a glitch. The flight movement was, however, later restored. Earlier, an official had confirmed that the airline's server was down. Due to which flight operation was affected. According to an Air India official, the server was down since around 3 AM Saturday morning due to which the airline is unable to issue boarding passes to passengers at airports across the world.
2. Fifteen people, including six children, died during a raid by Sri Lankan security forces as three cornered suicide bombers blew themselves up and others were shot dead, police said Saturday. The three men set off explosives killing three women and six children inside what was believed to an Islamist safe house near the eastern town on Friday night. According to news report, Police backed by troops exchanged fire with those inside the house for over an hour, and the bodies were recovered early Saturday following a search operation.
3. BJP leader Krishan Kumar Sehrwat on Friday joined the Aam Aadmi Party. He had been with the BJP for the last 20 years. Sehrawat said he was inspired by policies and governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the past four years.
4. IAS officer Mohammed Mohsin, who was suspended for checking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter in Odisha, said he had not violated any rules and was unaware of the charges against him. The Election Commission on Thursday revoked the suspension order after the Central Administrative Tribunal stayed the poll panel’s order. The Election Commission, however, asked the Karnataka government to take disciplinary action against him and debar him from further election activities. Mohsin, an IAS officer from Karnataka, was posted as general observer of the Election Commission in Sambalpur, Odisha. The Election Commission suspended him on April 16 – the day a team inspected Modi’s helicopter – on the basis of a written complaint by the District Election Officer of Sambalpur.
