Here's a segment of #13143 running a route in Alum Rock. This truck originally came from the old NorCal San Jose yard from when they had a contract from 2002-2007. After NorCal got kicked out, these trucks were sent all over the place to various NorCal/Recology yards, or sold off to different companies. Recology in San Benito still has approximately 10 of these trucks in original NorCal colors, making it the largest fleet of original NorCal Rapid Rails.
This truck was featured on WasteManTony's channel on rural routes in unincorporated Santa Clara County. This truck has not changed much at all since, besides a rebuilt arm, removal of the old "Recology Silicon Valley" branding, removal of the cardboard cage, and an attempt to cover up the old NorCal of San Jose decal.
It's also one of the last trucks still in original NorCal colors. Definitely nostalgic for me since I grew up watching these trucks.
The driver a bit skeptical at me for filming the truck at first, but once I explained why I was filming, he let me follow him around for a while, and gave me directions too, so thank you! Sorry for the delay in uploading.
Enjoy the video!
