Описание: Visiting Durham, also for my late Grandma who had a picture of this cathedral hanging on her wall (as she was from Rowland's Gill) I was kinda caught of guard when the cathedral struck 12 as I was not sure whether it chimed the quarters or not. So I returned to record the chimes at 2pm. The bells are hung in the central tower and are a 28cwt ring of 10 tuned to D having been supplimented with 2 trebles in 1980. I do believe the chimes are automatic/electronic, dating from when the 2 treble bells where put in and there not being a clock face on the tower. Am I right, can someone fill me in?
