After 2 years in charge of the WWE 2K series, WWE 2K22 Executive Producer Patrick Gillmore has announced that he has left 2K Sports, with an unnamed successor now set to take charge of WWE 2K23.
Patrick announced the news via Twitter, writing:
"Soon, I begin a new adventure. Working on WWE2K has been spectacular and fulfilling, thanks to the incredible #WWE2Kdev team, supportive leaders at Visual Concepts and 2K, and especially the amazing and passionate #WWE2K22 community. Thank you all! Now, my watch has ended."
At the time of writing, it's unknown who will take over as the Executive Producer for WWE 2K23, though it's presumed that the position has already been filled, with Patrick's successor to be announced publicly in the coming weeks.
