Class 3 is where students with records, power, or reputations are dumped.
It’s not a class.
It’s a cage.

Pg. 2 - CHAPTER 1 — “WELCOME TO CLASS 3”
The classroom smelled wrong.
Not like dust or old books — but sweat that had soaked into the walls and never left. Desks were carved with names, curses, and tally marks that looked less like boredom and more like records.
Yeon Si-eun noticed all of it the moment he stepped inside.
Class 3.
The teacher didn’t bother introducing him properly.
“This is Yeon Si-eun. Take an empty seat.”
No applause. No curiosity. Just eyes.
Some were bored.
Some were sharp.
One or two smiled — the kind that meant testing.
Si-eun chose a desk near the window. Windows were good. They limited angles.
He sat, placed his bag down carefully, and adjusted his sleeves. His knuckles were still healing. No bandages. He’d learned better.
A chair scraped loudly behind him.
“You’re the kid,” a voice said, low and amused. “From that other class.”
Si-eun didn’t turn.
“People say you’re smart,” the voice continued. “But smart kids don’t last here.”
Si-eun replied calmly,
“Neither do loud ones.”
Silence.
Then laughter — not friendly, not angry. Curious.
The boy behind him leaned back.
“Tch. I like you already.”
BREAK TIME
The moment the bell rang, Class 3 shifted.
Desks moved. Circles formed. Territory claimed.
Si-eun remained seated.
That’s when he felt it — pressure. Not physical. Social.
Three boys blocked the aisle in front of him. Another leaned against the wall near the door. One sat casually on Si-eun’s desk.
“You know how this works?” Desk-boy asked, tapping a knuckle against the wood.
Si-eun looked up slowly.
“No.”
The boy smiled wider.
“We collect.”
“Collect what?”
“Respect. Money. Fear. Depends on the week.”
Si-eun stood.
The desk creaked as the boy slid off it.
“You’re new,” the boy continued. “So we’ll be nice. You just hand over—”
Si-eun interrupted him.
“If you touch me,” he said quietly, “you’ll fall first.”
The hallway seemed to hold its breath.
Desk-boy laughed again — but this time, it cracked.
“Yeah?” he said. “And who are you supposed to be?”
Si-eun met his eyes.
“Someone who’s tired.”
That was enough.

Pg. 3 - THE FIRST FIGHT
It wasn’t flashy.
No shouting. No crowd cheering.
The first punch came from the left — sloppy, fast.
Si-eun stepped into it.
His elbow struck the attacker’s throat. Not hard — precise. The boy gagged and dropped.
The second grabbed his collar.
Si-eun head-butted him. Nose first. The sound was wet.
Desk-boy hesitated.
That was the mistake.
Si-eun kicked the desk behind him — it slammed into Desk-boy’s knee. Bone bent wrong. Screaming followed.
The entire fight lasted seven seconds.
Seven.
When the teacher returned, three students were on the floor.
Si-eun was back in his seat.

He expected punishment.
Instead, he got attention.
At lunch, whispers followed him.
By afternoon, a note appeared on his desk.

Prologue – The Silence After the Storm
The school thought the war was over.
Hallways were quieter. Fewer bruises. Teachers relaxed.
But peace at Eunjang High never lasted—it only waited.
Yeon Si-eun knew that better than anyone.
He sat by the window, eyes unfocused, fingers tapping the desk in a precise rhythm.
Class 3 was different. Stronger. Smarter. Crueler.
And they were watching him.

Chapter 1 – New Class, Old Rules
Class 3 had its own hierarchy.
Not loud bullies. Not dumb muscle.
These students planned. Manipulated. Broke people socially before touching them physically.
Their leader was Kang Min-jae—calm, well-dressed, always smiling.
He never fought. He made others fight for him.
Min-jae noticed Si-eun immediately.
“That’s him,” he said casually.
“The one who ended Class 1 and 2.”
To Min-jae, Si-eun wasn’t a threat.
He was a puzzle.

Chapter 2 – Friends Don’t Stay Safe
Soo-ho was gone.
Beom-seok was gone.
That was supposed to protect Si-eun’s friends.
It didn’t.
Min-jae didn’t attack Si-eun directly.
He targeted the people around him—group projects sabotaged, rumors planted, teachers turned suspicious.
One by one, classmates stopped sitting near Si-eun.
By design.
“You fight well,” Min-jae told him one afternoon.
“But can you fight alone?”
Si-eun didn’t answer.
He was already calculating.
