Maryland men's basketball will start its NCAA tournament journey against No. 13 seed Grand Canyon on Friday at 4:35 p.m. ET on TBS.
The Terps earned a No. 4 seed, the highest they've been seeded since 2015. The NCAA committee declared Maryland as the No. 15 overall team in the country. With the highest NET rating in the Big Ten and a top-10 defense and top-30 offense, the committee clearly valued Maryland's strong resume.
Grand Canyon (26-7) won the Western Athletic Conference tournament and finished second in the conference during the regular season. The Antelopes are the No. 93 team on KenPom and the No. 83 team on Bart Torvik.
