A loud open / un-gated level crossing found at the entrance to Park Padarn, where you'll find this railway and the National Slate Museum, on the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Steam Railway which has a gauge of 597mm (1ft 11 and a half inches). It likely dates back to 2003 when the line was extended to Llanberis, and is quite a quirky crossing. It has no barriers, three entrances, 5 sets of Forest City halogen wigwags / warning lights with St. Andrews Crosses underneath each of them, and it has 5 E2S alarms which produce a much louder version of the sound heard from the 'A100' variants. The fact that there are 5 of them makes for quite a tumultuous sound when the train passes by over the steep skew angle at this level crossing, providing an interesting shot for this video! The same blue Saddle-Tank Hunslet 0-4-0 "Thomas Bach) as previously seen at Gilfach Ddu by me ten minutes earlier is seen returning having turned around at Llanberis to continue its journey around the lake. It runs parallel with the road until it reaches Gilfach Ddu station, and you can hear the level crossing beside that station's alarms as the train ventures towards it.
Thanks for watching!
