La:Sadie´s - Shoukei hatan sekai

Описание: Every Dir En Grey fan will know about this band, but I want to give a little introduction.

The roots of La:Sadie´s lie in the cover band Haijin Kurobara Zoku (廃人黒薔薇族). That band was formed in september 1995 by Kyo (Vocals), Seine (Guitar), #4 (Guitar), Kisaki (Bass) and Shinya (Drums). Kyo and Seine came from Masquerade, while Shinya and Kisaki were both involved in RUBY before. They played songs of Kuroyume, Luna Sea and D'ERLANGER. For example they played the song "親愛なるDEATH MASK" by Kuroyume (I heard there exists a very rare live recording somewhere in the japanese trader scene). BTW: That band had a great influence on Kyos early life, it was one of his first rock bands and at the age of 15 he even worked as a roadie for them.

However the band didnt exist for long time and the 2 guitarists departed within the same year. They were replaced by Die (who played in Ka·za·ri before) and Shio (who played together with Kisaki in SHEY≠DE some time before). Because of the 2 new members, they decided to form a new band. La:Sadie´s was born. They play together for some time, until Shio departs in february 1996. Kaoru (who played in CHARM before) replaces him on guitar. With this line-up they play a lot of shows and release several recordings. Sadly there were some troubles with the band leader Kisaki. For some reasons he left the band on 1997.01.15 (there are a lot of discussions about the reason, but there was never an official statement). The other members did still want to play together. For this they searched for a new bassist. Finally Toshiya wanted to do the job, so he left his old band D+L. The line-up was complete and they formed the new band DEATHMASK (you remember that reference, right?) and played their first gig together on 1997.01.24. Some days later they decided for a new name and changed it to todays Dir En Grey on 1997.02.02.

About this release:

"Lu:Ciel" was their second single, recorded from december 1996 to january 1997 by Aya Kimata at Sudio Kiss. It was released through Smudge Records (SRL-000) on 1997.02.14 and it´s limited to 5000 copies. (I am one of the happy owners of an original copy ^.^ )
