RECAP: A Pokemon can collect a total of 510 EV points, with a maximum of 255 EV points in each stat.
Every 4 EV points raises your base stat by one point: every 4 times you defeat a Patrat (EV yield of 1 ATTACK), your base ATTACK stat is rasied by 1 point.
As 255 is not a multiple of 4, we only invest a maximum of 252 EV points in each stat, which amounts to a maximum of (252)/(4) = (63) gain in base stat.
It is not until level 100, when the total increase in stats, due to EV training, will become completely apparent.

Snivy possesses a 'Jolly' nature (110%Speed & 90%SpecialAttack) - physical moves - leaf blade, iron tail, swords dance - are favoured to special moves in this build.

EG: Terrakion - EV yield of 3 ATTACK - Very high base ATTACK & SPEED (perfect for an offensive sweeper), therefore, invest 252 EVs in Attack, 252 EVs in Speed and 4 EVs in HP. This amounts to a 63 point increase in the Attack & Speed stats, and a 1 point increase in HP. As you can see, EV training is clearly worth it!
