Wathumba Creek Fraser Island is an amazing spot on the west coast of the beautiful Fraser Island.
Wathumba Creek is a small creek outlet that flows out into Platypus Bay Fraser Island. On high tide with a sunny day, the water is crystal clear and blue.
Paddle over to the other side of the creek to experience a never-ending expanse of blue paradise.
Kids love this spot and it is so safe, except for the occasional dingo looking for scraps.
A whole day can be spent here playing in the sun. It takes around 45 minutes to drive here from Orchid Beach township and the track is sand that can be a little rough.
At the moment you can't drive up and down the west beach due to begin soft and a little dangerous.
Wathumba Creek Camping is available right at the spot and it looks nice. If you have a yacht or big boat you can stay up the creek. The Wathumba Creek anchorage is very safe but remember the tide goes way out so read the Wathumba Creek tides right or you will be stuck here for a little.
Hope you enjoy your visit to Wathumba Creek like we did and see you on the sand.
Cheers.
