Kicking off the first half of Day 1 from my multi‑day motorcycle trip across Gran Canaria in 2022! This short music clip sets the tone for the whole adventure: twisty mountain roads, perfect winter weather, and that sweet Honda CB500X humming along the island’s legendary routes.
Gran Canaria is a dream for motorcycle touring, especially in winter. While the rest of Europe is freezing, this island stays warm, sunny, and packed with some of the best technical riding roads in Europe. Tight switchbacks, dramatic elevation changes, volcanic landscapes — it’s basically a playground for riders.
I rented a Honda CB500X on the island (CanaryRide.com - highly recommended). Getting your own bike there by boat takes ages, so renting is the smart move if you want to maximize riding time instead of travel time.
This is just the beginning — rest of Day 1 and the other days of the trip are coming. Stay tuned for more motorcycle travel, island touring and adventure riding in Gran Canaria. This mototrip was epic.
