U.S. Army Artillery crews test fire new gun tubes on the M109A6 Paladin, 155mm Howitzer, at McCrady Training Center in South Carolina on January 27, 2017. The crewmembers loaded the breech, exited the vehicle, and fired the rounds with a 50 foot lanyard for safety... just in case there is a malfunction of the new tube. All 12 guns fired successfully. Filmed on January 27, 2017. Unit - 178th Field Artillery Battalion, 678th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard.
