Adass Israel Synagogue Board Member Benjamin Klein discusses how the firebombed synagogue was a “beacon of light” for the wider Jewish community.
Following days of investigation into the firebombing of the Melbourne synagogue, authorities have finally declared the attack to be a "terrorist incident".
“It’s a central focal point for the community and it’s a place where we spend a huge amount of time every day in the synagogue praying and learning,” Mr Klein told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“To see that ripped from us is something which is a lot more than just a building ripped away from us; it’s really an icon and a centre of our world.”
