The 1920s were a time of bold change, glamour, and freedom, often remembered for flapper fashion, dramatic makeup, and the rise of modern beauty. Inspired by the iconic visuals of The Great Gatsby, this look reflects the elegance and drama of the era. Learning makeup from different historical periods was incredibly fun, and I felt deeply inspired throughout the process.
This video was filmed as a practice session. I only had about an hour and ten minutes, and although I recorded while practicing, I wasn’t able to fully block out the eyebrows the way I wanted. I spent a lot of time drawing, erasing, and redrawing the brows, which slowed the process down more than expected. That part feels a little disappointing, but it was all part of learning and experimenting.
