Riftbound Just Banned Stacked Deck and Ekko | Riftbound Reaction

Описание: Riot has banned Ekko, Recurrent and Stacked Deck in Riftbound, effective September 18, 2026. Both cards are banned in Standard and 2v2 Constructed.

In this video I go through what the September ban list update actually means: why Stacked Deck was hit instead of Kennen himself, why Ekko was banned despite a low play rate, what happens to Chaos deckbuilding without its best consistency card, and what you should do if your deck just became illegal.

Riot's stated reasoning:

Stacked Deck gave too much cheap consistency, especially alongside Kennen and Lightning Rush, digging for Nocturne while filling the trash for Rhasa the Sunderer and Last Rites. The goal was a targeted ban that slows Kennen down without deleting the strategy.

Ekko, Recurrent both grants an effective extra turn and recycles itself, enabling the Lux infinite combo from Unleashed. Riot called out the limited interaction windows and solitaire-style gameplay rather than raw win rate.
