I recently came home after a ride and noticed I had a completely flat rear tire due to a nail. I decided to just replace the tire so while I was waiting for a new one to come in I decided to finally install my new 525 Chain Kit with Quick-Change Sprocket Set. I've needed to do this for a while as I'm pretty sure the chain and sprockets were original and VERY worn out... at least the chain was. So this turned out to be a pretty good job time wise so I have broken up the videos to make it easier (hopefully) to watch and find different parts of the process.

Some things of note for this model (and in general) is getting the front sprocket off was probably the most tedious part of the process. You do need chain tools in order to press the new master link on to the new chain and flare the rivets out to spec. I chose to use an aftermarket "quick change" rear sprocket.. but of course you could use the Ducati OEM and the process would be the same (for initial install). You will also need some large sockets and a large torque wrench (optional ;) in order to remove the sprocket nuts. See the specific videos for details.
