Описание: A three- and- a -half month old baby has become the youngest recipient of a cochlear implant in South Africa. The infant was diagnosed as profoundly deaf just after birth. The operation was first carried out on an adult patient at Cape Town's Tygerberg Hospital 30 years ago.
