In his ministry, he has noticed that one of the greatest struggles of Christian singles, is the one with fear of commitment. And, these challenges of committing to a long term relationship start long before you enter that relationship. Sure, when singles do find themselves in a dating relationship, and they eventually hit the wall, their fears rise to the surface and become most apparent. And, it’s then that they may use those dreaded words… “It’s not you, it’s me. I’m just afraid of commitment.” Or, the person on the other side of this breakup, most often the woman, attributes the relational failure to “his commitment phobia” or says “he was one of those guys with chronic fear of commitment.” And that’s where they leave it, without recognizing that the phobia had been built and created over years of wrong thinking, habits and lifestyle.
