Heyyyyy!
I tried fasting for a week to bring myself closer to the Lord. I participated in this week of prayer and fasting along with my church.
Why do we fast?
The Bible tells us to pray and fast to deny our flesh of its desires. If you think about it, Christians are supposed to fast ALL THE TIME. We fast from sin- the very thing our flesh is the most drawn to. Not everyone has to fast from food, but if you fast from the things that take your attention away from God (scrolling, sin, etc.), you'll be one step closer to Him.
I'm not a pastor or an expert on the Bible, but I make these videos to show myself trying to grow with the Lord, since I don't often see content like that. It's okay to struggle, it's part of life.
