As the journey progresses north through Europe, progress is steady but not flawless. Two speeding fines are picked up along the way, cutting into profits and acting as a sharp reminder that rushing a long haul can be costly — especially when carrying sensitive cargo.

After covering just over 1,000 kilometres, the first leg of this enormous journey comes to an end at a rest stop just south of Osnabrück, Germany.

With almost 2,000 kilometres still to go, this run is clearly bigger than first expected. Fatigue is setting in, the pressure of carrying sensitive medical cargo remains, and the road ahead will cross multiple countries before Scandinavia even comes into view.
