Описание: Now you don't need to be an absolute train lover to hear the difference between the two versions of the Baureihe 401 ICE 1, but boy the difference is almost as big as the HSTs shifting from their Valenta engines to their MTU engines, but then ofcourse concerning electric high-speed units. But now on to today's video!

I came along this specific ICE 1 on my way to Westerland, when changing trains at Osnabrück, and decided to head up the platform to record the service departing! To my surprise, the train was very quiet to begin with, and when it started departing it didn't create much noise either! Honestly they sound a bit like modern EMUs or electric locomotives like this, which is quite cool for such a classic high speed train! Now truth be told, I much prefer the old sound with the screaming cooling fans and classic toneladder sound, but this is pretty neat too!
