Today we're going to be reviewing part #TREQ356. This is the TruRyde Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs. It's going to connect the double-eye springs on dual- or triple-axle trailers. Springs attach to the ends of the equalizer with shackle straps. Those are going to be sold separately, and then the equalizer is going to be suspended from the center hanger, which is also going to be sold separately. This system is designed to transfer the load in sudden impacts from one axle to another by permitting movement between the axles. It's going to help distribute weight evenly, and it's going to result in a smoother ride for the trailer. It does include the bushings. Those are located inside each hole.

This is designed for 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs with 9/16" spring eyes, so the center bolt hole diameter up here is going to measure 9/16" and then the left and right bolt hole diameters are also going to measure 9/16". When choosing an equalizer, it's really important to know a few measurements. You definitely want to know the diameter of each hole, so, again, each one is going to measure 9/16". And then a few more measurements to go over. We're going to measure from the center of this hole to the center of this hole. So, taking that measurement, it's going to give us a measurement of 6-1/8". Then we want to measure the distance that we have from the center of this hole at a straight line to the center of this hole, so we don't want to measure the angle.

We would actually want to measure at a straight line, so create an imaginary line going across here and measure down to that line. That measurement would measure 2-1/2".
