The north eastern region of Victoria features both broad and standard gauge lines. Three tracks run between Melbourne and Seymour with two broad and one standard gauge lines. North of Seymour, the broad gauge continues onto Shepparton and points further north, while the standard gauge continues to Albury and on into NSW as the main interstate route to Sydney
This video features action on both the North East standard gauge line and the broad gauge Goulburn Valley line on 20 September 2016, including:
CSR002 at Monea with 6708V up SCT freight from Barnawartha
N473 at Locksley with 8615 down Albury pass
N471 with 8620 up Albury pass at Euroa
NR36, AN11, NR71 and NR48 at Violet Town with 4WM2 up PN steel freight
8157 and BL26 with 4CM5 up grain at Baddaginnie and Avenel
XPT at Avenel with ST23 up daylight service to Melbourne
NR80, 8240 and 8224 at Longwood with 3MC2 down PN freight to Griffith
XR557 and G539 up PN grain at Racecourse Rd near Nagambie
