In this video, I introduce my fiancée Koii and we dive into a real cultural difference that often surprises foreigners in Thailand: tipping.
As a Westerner, tipping feels normal to me. In Thailand, it’s different. Some people tip, many don’t — and my Thai fiancée strongly believes that everyone should simply do their job properly without expecting extra money.
This isn’t about right or wrong. It’s about culture, expectations, and understanding each other. We share our perspectives openly and invite you to share yours too.
Do you tip in Thailand?
Should foreigners adapt, or is tipping always a good thing?

Hello TEFL teachers and friends! Today, I'm joined by my wonderful fiancée, Koii, for a "culture vulture" conversation. We're talking about our morning visit to a couture lingerie event, where we experienced some fascinating cultural difference. This video offers a peek behind the scenes of our discussions on cultural values and international dating.
