The Frisian Calendar

Описание: Did you know that Frisians used to have a different calendar? Instead of the familiar January, February, March and so forth, there was the Fore-Month, the Mud-Month, and the Spring-Month. Similar to the Old English calendar followed by the Anglo-Saxons, each month describes common features of the time of year or activities pursued in them.

Hi everyone, my name is Hilbert and on this channel I want to explore Frisian in all its forms. I'll be delving into the history of the Frisian people and their languages, I'll be sharing interesting quirks of West Frisian and even uploading a beginner's course in the language as we go on.
