Possession, brains in jars, wearing another's skin - the world of Lovecraft is full of it's own version of skinchanging, and what Bran is doing to Hodor, along with what may happen to other characters in the future, may end in the same disastrous results as that of Howard's characters. We will be looking at two short stories by Lovecraft - "The Outsider" and "The Thing on the Doorstep" - which provide a view of the road characters like Bran Stark may be heading down if they continue using their powers on other humans.
