Sachetan Nagarik Mancha protests in Jantar Mantar; demands extension in NRC publication date

Описание: The Sachetan Nagarik Mancha today staged a sit-in protest at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The protest was held in demand for an error NRC and against the publication of the NRC on August 31 as stipulated by the apex court.
The protestors raised slogans and demanded that special steps be taken to ensure that foreigners’ names are kept out of the NRC and the publication of the NRC be further delayed to ensure this.
The protestors also submitted a signed memorandum to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in this regard through the Delhi Police.
