First train in months on the Newport Secondary Rail Line

Today, 4/9/2022 Old Colony & Newport Railway volunteers ran a work train to open the line up after five months of no use. The last train ran in December at the end of the season but trains will start running next week so the line needed to be opened. A brush cutter ran prior to the train but otherwise this was the first move on this track since last season. OCN volunteers cleared brush, tree branches, and flangeways so Rail Explorers and Newport & Narragansett Bay trains can operate smoothly as they begin their 2022 tourist season this month.
