*In July 2024, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) began to investigate Laura Owens at the request of a Superior Court Judge. This came after the defendant made several inconsistent statements during a paternity hearing involving a former contestant on the television program, “The Bachelor”. Owens originally filed a lawsuit seeking child support, then dropped her claim, alleging she’d had a miscarriage. MCAO investigators found that between May 2023 and June 2024, Owens altered an ultrasound image, fabricated a pregnancy video, and lied multiple times under oath and more:

**On November 18, 2025 (Case: CR2025-006831), Judge Reuter granted the Kolsrud Law Offices filing, “MOTION TO WITHDRAW AS ATTORNEY OF RECORD”. LO requested a Public Defender, which was also granted. Scheduling for the next hearing, was set for 12/02/2025, which is the same date of her Judgement Debtor's Examination (12/02/2025), yet LO did not alert Judge Reuter that she had a conflict due to another case with an existing schedule examination (Case: FC2023-052114).
