This is a sped-up acrylic painting of abstract flowers, painted in about an hour and condensed down to an 8-minute timelapse.
I’ve been doing these paintings as exercises — a way to work outside my usual box and loosen things up without overthinking the outcome. The focus isn’t on realism or perfection, but on movement, layering, and letting the brush do what it wants to do in the moment.
Abstract florals are especially good for that kind of practice. You can push color, pull back, change direction, and let the painting find its own balance without trying to control every detail.
This piece was painted quickly with acrylics on canvas, following intuition more than a plan. If you enjoy watching a painting come together from start to finish — especially the messy, in-between stages — this one shows the whole process.
