I love to experiment with color. Playing with Cadmium Reds and Yellows is my favorite way to "heat up" a painting and produce a glow to my work. In today's wildlife painting tutorial, I will be painting a relining bull elk and will make him glow with cadmiums. You will learn how to combine the cool colors of the elk to contrast and add glow with the Cadmium reds and yellows. You will learn to paint elk antlers, how to paint steamy breath rising from his nostrils. one of the brush I used for the most was a Synthetic Shiraz pointed round or rigger, as well as two filberts, the number 5 and 8, I will also leave you the link to the brush here. It is a very versatile brush, and you can see that if was able to do everything I asked of it in this painting tutorial

The little miniature short handled brushes I used to do the fine FINE details was the Workbench Warrior Set from Rosemary and Co. Check them out!!! I love these brushes.
