When I was first starting out posting on facebook to build my mlm team, I didn’t get any likes or comments on my posts. I got crickets .

At the time I was trying to find leads and more people to share my opportunity with because I had run out of friends on my names list to talk to. I was struggling with knowing what to post that wouldn't be salesy and bug my friends but would also help me find people that actually were excited about joining my downline. .

I was getting more and more frustrated because I would see other people post on facebook welcoming new team members to their downlines and posting pictures about how they were rank advancing.

Then the bottom fell out from under me when I realized that I was turning into a zombie mom. I wasn't spending time with my kids because I was so worried that I was going to miss an opportunity to connect with somebody on Facebook. But I still wasn't getting engagement on my posts and nobody was joining my downline.

Which meant I couldn't justify spending my time on social media. As you can imagine, I was in bad shape and desperate, but I wasn't ready to give up on my dream of being a full time network marketer. Then I discovered conversation starter posts.

At that point, everything changed! I finally figured out how to get people to look at my post and actually pay attention and comment on my post. Which meant that facebook started showing my posts to more people. 

I discovered how to subtly post about my company and products without annoying my friends, and how to use those posts as a way to identify the people that were leads for my mlm company. 

A conversation starter is basically a post that does what the name implies- it’s a question that gets people to comment. For example, you could ask, “Which do you like better? Ketchup or mustard?” Or “Working out at the gym? Love it or hate it? “ Or “Do you drink a cup of coffee while you are getting the kids ready for school or do you wait and enjoy it after they are gone? “ Use questions that are related to your specific mlm company. When you use these questions you can now identify the people that would be interested in your products. In addition, since people are commenting on your post it will affect the Facebook algorithm. Since your post is relevant and interesting Facebook will show it to more of your friends.

Because I discovered conversation starters I learned how to post so that people would pay attention and want to comment. This meant I was now getting a ton of friend requests- which totally grew my list of people to share my opportunity with. I was also able to pick the people that I wanted to work with. I no longer had to beg or convince people to take a look at my opportunity.  However, the very best part about using conversation starters is that people reach out to me and ask about my network marketing company.
