Описание: Stretches:
Ear to Shoulder Holds (10-15 sec. Hold each side)
Gently and slowly lean your left ear towards your left shoulder. To deepen the stretch, take your left hand and apply a light, downward pressure on the top of your head. Repeat on the other side.

Chin to Chest Hold (10-15 sec. hold)
Gently and slowly touch your chin to your chest or as low as you can comfortably take it. Gently deepen the stretch by placing both of your hands on the back of your head.

Chin & Jaw Massage
Place your thumb directly under your chin (find the muscle, not the bone) and gently apply light pressure as you move your thumb in a circular motion. Next, apply light pressure with your thumb as you glide it to the left under your jaw and chin to alleviate tension being held in your muscles. Repeat on the right side.

In this exercise, you will be doing:

Non-singing slides (3-5)
Mushy “M”
Single Note Ma
Slide Downs - Scale
Slow E to Ah
Descending Va

Duration: 9:39

Notes: Active Recovery is just as important as vocal exercises that challenge your voice. Not only do active recovery exercises feel soothing on the voice, but they are equally as important for your brain, so you never feel burnt out in your vocal training.

As you use Sing Text, you will find that as time goes on, you will do fewer Vocal Recovery days in the week. This is so your voice can ease into more frequent exercise and help you get accustomed to a longer daily practice time.

Vocal recovery exercises are meant to gently get your voice moving without being strenuous. They typically take less than 10 minutes and will focus more heavily on flexibility and stability. These exercises move more slowly and do not cover as much of your range. You can feel free to pause any exercise and take it higher in your range if you choose to; however, keep in mind that it can be easier to stress and strain the voice as we go up higher, especially if higher notes are a weaker spot for us vocally. If you choose to take these exercises higher, keep your neck muscles relaxed, focus on keeping your head and chin level with the ground, and if at any point you feel or hear straining, take a break.

During Vocal Recovery Days, we highly encourage you to take 5-10min. to reflect on how your voice is feeling, what has been going well, and what improvements you are hearing. It’s also a great time to pay attention to the things you would like to hear improve in the upcoming week.

As you sing through each exercise, remember to stay relaxed. All of these exercises should feel comfortable for your voice to do.
