#MLB #Catchers after ABS is adopted, will they have to hit more than they do now? Yes. The job of pitch framing takes a lot of attention and finesse. Teams won't likely carry a defense first backup catcher as much since being a good pitch-framer will not be of benefit!
Will Smith will be underpaid once ABS is around. Other catchers who can mash and throw out runners but are not so great at pitch framing will be worth more than they are now!
